Vote.

As people do better, they start voting like Republicans – unless they have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be too much of a good thing. -Karl Rove

“Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell,” is Stupid.

I don’t get it.

Gay issues are civil rights issues.  Whether you like it or not, or believe it or not, a person has the right to live their life as best as possible.  It is sort of hard to do when, at every turn, their rights are rejected.  Please, someone, anyone, give me a rational, well thought out reason why gay people shouldn’t get married.  And why can’t men and women be openly gay in the military?  You’re telling me that men and women can volunteer to get shot at and shoot people, but they can’t admit that they prefer to have relationships with a certain type of person? That makes sense?  Promises were made.  And as much as I love and appreciate the current administration, more can be done to address an issue that deserves the proper attention.  From AC360 blog:

The Obama administration had asked the high court not to take the case, and White House officials had said they would not object to homosexuals being kicked out of the armed services. During the presidential campaign last year, President Obama said he supported throwing out the federal law but has taken no specific action on the controversy. The Justice Department said in a high court filing the law was “rationally related to the government’s legitimate interest in military discipline and cohesion.”

Cohesion.  Really.  With a suicide rate that is absurd and murders?  Yeah, that cohesion argument is really working.  That sarcasm, by the way.
